been mailed to the proper people and advertised in the newspaper as required.
John D. Brucchi - special permit to operate a private riding academy, giving
riding lessons and pony rides at 63 Paul Revere Road. (Section 25.21)
Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Lincoln Laboratory - special permit
under Section 30 to erect another tower on property at 238 Wood Street.
Marilyn and Luigi R. DiNapoli - variance of Section 27 to build an addition
to the house at 62 Taft Avenue with a side yard of 62 feet instead of the
required 10 feet.
Parker Weaver O.D. - special permit under 25.81 to use a portion of his resi-
dence at 29 Pleasant Street for an office for the practice of optometry.
The Board made the following decisions, all in open meeting with specta-
tors remaining to hear the verdicts. See permits and denial for details.
Brucchi - granted (4 to 1) to operate a private riding academy giving riding
lessons but not pony rides, subject to the following conditions (summarized):
(1) All lessons shall be given by a licensed instructor.
(2) Lessons shall be confined to enclosed area as designated on plan.
(3) Hours - 7 days a week, during daylight - no lights.
(4) Premises shall be kept in a neat and orderly condition.
(5) Customer parking shall be off the street on the Brucchi property.
(6) All state permits, rules & regulations must be followed.
(7) Permit expires May 1, 1977.
MIT -Lincoln Lab - granted unanimously (as described and according to plans).
DiNapoli - granted unanimously.
Weaver - denied unanimously.
The permits and denial documents give further detailrr. A-11 pertinent
material is on file in the Board of Appeals' office. The mating adjourned
at 11:12 p.m.

the Selectmen's Meeting Room of the Town Office
Building.
Present were:

Brodhead, and Associate Gary. Also present were a room full
of
interested
townspeople, a
representative of the League of Women Voters
and a
Lexington
Minute -Man reporter.

Dear Mr. Nickerson:
I am pleased to inform you that the Board of Selectmen voted to re-
appoint Ruth Morey a member of the Board of Appeals for a five-year
term expiring March 31, 1981. The Board also appointed Irving H.
Mabee to the Board to fill the unexpired term of Logan Clarke expir-
Ing on March 31, 1980.
Clarence Turner, 21 Lawrence Lane was voted an Associate Member, and -
the following were re -appointed as Associate Members: Haskell W.
Reed, Robert Cataldo, Robert M. Gary, Thomas G. Taylor and Natalie H.
Riffin.
These appointees have been notified of their appointments and re-
