Cole, May 3, 1971 1 ' "regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, January 26, 1971, at 7:30 p.m. in the selectmen's meeting room, The Bird Room, Cary Memorial Building. Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular members Sheldon and Dawes and Associate members Emery and Brodhead. The following petitions were heard: James B. Catalano for permission to continue operations of retail business of selling flowers, produce and plants grown on the premises at 643 Waltham Street. Willie Smith, Jr. for a variance to maintain a dwelling at 10 White Pine Lane with a front yard of 28.6 feet instead of the required 30 feet for the northwestern corner of a newly constructed carport. Mystic Valley Mental Health Association, Inc. for permission to remodel the existing carriage house (barn) for use as a conference room for staff conferences, group therapy sessions, and board and committee meetings at 186 Bedford Street. The extent of the external alterations would be the replacement of two large garage doors on the southern elevation by a wall with windows and normal doors. Wilson Farm Inc. for permission by special permit under subsections 12.2 and 24.5 of the Zoning By-law to store and sell in conjunction with the operation of a nursery at 8 Pleasant Street, all of the supplementary items specified in ' subsection 24.5. Frederick J. Conroy for permission to use the premises situated at 72 Waltham Street, for professional and office use purposes as set forth in section 25.42 of the Zoning By -Law of the Town of Lexington. Lexington Chalet Inc. petition for two signs for a Denny's Restaurant at 440 Bedford Street was not heard. This petition was withdrawn on January 20, 1971. McSweeney Brothers Trust permission to maintain the dwelling on the lot located at 19 Eaton Road with proper side yard on lot 15 and to construct a single wood frame dwelling on both lots at 17 and 21 Eaton Road. Following the hearings, an executive session was held during which the following decisions were reached: James B. Catalano - granted Willie Smith Jr. - granted Frederick J. Conroy - granted McSweeney Bros. Trust - denied Mystic Valley Mental Health Association Inc. - granted Wilson Farm Inc. - no decision due to pending withdrawal. Withdrawn on February 1, 1971 The annual meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held following the hearings and the following officers elected: Donald E. Nickerson - chairman ' Charles T.
