May 28, 1968
A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held
on Tuesday, May 28, 1968, at 7:30 p.m. in the Selectmen's Room,
Town Office Building. Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular
members Dawes, Abbott, Wadsworth and associate member Emery.
The following petitions were heard:
Richard D. Hamilton for permission to vary the Lexington Zoning
By -Law in order to permit the operation of a real estate office in
the proposed addition to his residence at #2 Taft Ave., which is in
an R 2 district and adjacent to C 1 district.
Lexington -Electronic Realty Trust for a Finding & Determination
that the construction of a two-story 43,000 sq. ft. office building
to be occupied by Raytheon Education Company on an 11.28 acre parcel
of C 3 zoned land at 141 Spring St. will constitute a desirable de-
velopment not detrimental to the neighborhood and town. A variance
is requested from the 100 ft. required yard on Spring St. to 60 ft.
Harry B. and Kirsten D. Lee petition for a request for variance
so as to allow the maintenance of the dwelling at 108 Bertwell Rd.
and to allow the addition of a proposed sun porch which will have a
seven foot side line instead of the required ten feet.
Anthony G. and Patricia V. Sacco petition to vary the Lexington
Zoning By -Law in order to build an addition to residence at 23 Bridge
St. which would have insufficient side yard.
Supreme Council - Permission to use the house at 39 Marrett Rd.
as a headquarters building of the Supreme Council.
At the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held during
which the above requests were discussed, and the following decisions
reached:
Richard D. Hamilton - denied
Lexington -Electronics Realty Trust - granted
Harry B. and Kirsten D. Lee - granted
Anthony G. and Patricia V. Sacco - granted
Supreme Council - granted
The meeting adjourned at 11:15
