A regglar meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held
on Tuesday, May 210 1968, at 7:30 p.m. in the Selectmen's Room,
Town Office Building. Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular
members Abbott, Dawes, Sheldon and associate member Emery.
The following petitions were heard:
Gerald W. Jones for permission to vary the Lexington Zoning
By -Law in order to construct an addition to home at 5 LeRoy Rd.,
with side yard of 7'8" instead of the required 12 ft.
Howard L. Beauchamp for permission to vary the Lexington Zoning
By -Law in order to maintain existing residence at 10 Denver St.,
which has insufficient side yard, and to build an addition to exist-
ing house which would also have insufficient side yard.
Owen S. Lafley for permission to construct a two -bay automatic
car wash at 27 Mass. Ave. to be built in accordance with plans sub-
mitted.
Victoria N. O'Connell for permission to vary the Lexington
Zoning By -Law in order to (1) divide a lot at 11 Lowell St. and 15
Westminster St. into two lots, one of which would have insufficient
area and frontage; (2) to convert existing building on said small
lot into a one -family house which would have insufficient side and
front setback.
Buss, Realty Trust for permission to vary the Lexington Zoning
By -Law in order to erect a house at 28 Circle Rd., the chimney of
which would project 6' into the required side yard.
At the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held during
which the above requests were discussed, and the following decisions
reached:
Gerald W. Jones - granted
Howard L. Beauchamp - granted
Owen S. Lafley - granted
Victoria N. O'Connell - denied
Busa Realty Trust - granted
James Cosgrove - granted (roadside stand)
Viola Norlin - granted (kindergarten)
Meeting adjourned at 10:15 p.m.
