HomeMy WebLinkAbout1967-11-21 BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS November 21, 1967 A regular meeting of the Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, November 21, 1967 in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building Present were Chair- man Nickerson, regular members Abbott, Dawes, Sheldon, Wadsworth, and the secretary, Mrs Macomber At 7 30 p.m. the hearings were called to order as follows Norbert F and Victoria M Todtenkopf - to vary the Lexington Zoning By-Law to permit the existing building at 59 Bridge Street to remain with side yards of 7.2 feet and 7 1 feet respectively instead of the required 7 5 feet Gerald W Jones - to vary the Lexington Zoning By-Law in order to main- tain house at 5 Leroy Rd one corner of which has 11 ft side yard instead of the required 12 ft , and to erect an addition one corner of which would have 7 8 ft side yard instead of the required 12 ft John H Bellinger - to vary the Lexington Zoning By-Law in order to re- construct a two-car garage at 922 Mass Ave approximately 5' from the side lot line instead of the required 10' Raymond and Joan Bell - to vary the Lexington Zoning By-Law in order to maintain house at 20 Woodcliffe Rd. which has a 27' front setback and to erect a new entryway 5' x 8' which will not project any further than the existing platform and steps but which has a front setback of 22 ft instead of the required 30 ft Pasquale P Barbieri - to vary the Lexington Zoning By-Law in order to extend the existing automobile service facilities by adding a 50' extension to existing building, plus 17 additional parking spaces, in rear of 153 North St. at the southeasterly corner of Lowell St. , 30 ft of which would extend into R 1 district Also to vary the side yard requirement from 20' to 10' , the Commonwealth of Massachusetts having taken this land for highway purposes. Lexington Trust Co. - for permission to hang a double face sign, 1'x3'10" under the marquee at 42 Bedford St at the shopping center known as "Lexing- ton Plaza " Dunfev-Lexington Trust - for a Finding and Determination on the site plan accompanying petition for additions to the building and automobile parking areas of the Sheraton-Lexington Motor Inn at 727 Marrett Road, Lexington Following the hearings an executive session was held during which the following decisions were made Norbert F. and Victoria M. Todtenkppf - granted Gerald W. Jones - granted John. H. Bellinger - granted Raymond and Joan Bell - granted to maintain, denied to cover entryway Pasquale P. Barbieri - granted
