A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held
on Tuesday, February 14, 1967, in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office
Building. Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular members Abbott,
Sheldon and Wadsworth, and associate member Clarke.
At 7:30 p.m. hearings were opened on the following petitions:
New England Telephone & Telegraph Company - permission to con-
struct and use a second floor addition approximately 46 ft. x 70 ft.
on the existing automatic dial telephone exchange building at 73
Waltham St. within the C 2 district.
Honeywell, Inc. - for a Finding and Determination that a pro-
posed Research and Development facility to be occupied by Honeywell,
Inc. and to be located on Lot 5 (Forbes Rd.) in Minute Man Research
Park, Lexington, will constitute a desirable development, not detri-
mental to the area.
Nicholas A. Cannalonga - for permission to extend the present
building at Wagon Wheel Nursery, 927 Waltham St. 22 ft. by 26 ft. to
be used for storage and display purposes only.
' Trustees Hartwell Westview Trust - to vary the Lexington Zon-
ing By -Law in order to permit parking spaces for vehicles within a
15 -foot portion of the 25 -foot side yard area in the northwesterly
boundary at the rear of a building constructed for Weston Instruments,
Inc. at the corner of Hartwell Avenue and Westview St.
Following;;the hearings an executive session was held during
which the following decisions were reached:
N.E.Tel. & Tel. Co. - granted
Honeywell, Inc. - granted
Nicholas A. Cannalonga - granted
Trustees Hartwell Westview Trust granted for three years
All pertinent material with regard to the above petitions is on
file in each individual folder.
The meeting adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
