HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966-07-051 r L BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS July 5, 1966 A regular meeting of the Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, July 5, 1966, in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building. Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular members Hoyt, Abbott, Wadsworth, and associate member Morey, also the secretary Mrs. Macomber. Hearings were called to order at 7:30 as follows: Anthony Cataldo - permission to continue to process, warehouse and sell vegetables at 1265 Massachusetts Ave. Hartwell -Lexington Trust - for a Finding and Determination that a proposed 30,000 sq.ft. building located on a 5.25 acre lot located on the northwest side of Hartwell Ave. and on the southwesterly side of Westview St., all as shown on plans submitted, will constitute a suit- able development and will not result in substantial detriment to the neighborhood. Massachusetts CUNA Association, Inc. - to vary the Zoning By -Law fin order to erect a one-story building at 267 Lincoln St. as an office for Massachusetts CUNA Association, Inc. which is the Credit Union Organ- ization in Massachusetts. No variance is asked for except for use in a CN district. Edward F. Cataldo - for permission to include a small undenomina- tional chapel, 24 ft. x 27 ft., on the northerly side of proposed wing to Pine Crest Nursing Home at 30 Watertown St., permission for which was granted Dec. 7, 1965. Maurice and Raquel Sussman - to vary the Zoning By -Law in order to build an addition on existing house at 34 Barberry Rd., one corner of which will have 22.5 ft, front setback instead of the required 30 ft. Morton A. Madoff - to vary the Zoning By -Law in order to construct an addition, consisting of an entrance hallway and living room, to the residence at 27 Normandy Rd., which would have a 13'4" side yard instead of the required 15 ft. Katherine J. Marotto - to vary the Zoning By -Law in order to erect a swimming pool at 5 Parker St. which will have 10 ft. rear yard instead of the required 15 ft. Thomas F. Scanlan and Edward P. Kavanagh - to vary the Zoning By - Law in order to erect a single family dwelling at 68 Blake Rd. which would have insufficient frontage and area. Robert 0. Tillinghast - for permission to use the first floor at 183 Bedford St. as a dentist's office, and to convert the second floor front, and the second floor rear and third floor into two apartments, with outside staircase to third floor. At the close of the hearings an executive session was held during which the following decisions were made:
