HomeMy WebLinkAbout1966-06-14BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS June 14, 1966 A regular meeting of the Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, June 14, 1966, in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building. Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular members Hoyt, Sheldon and Wadsworth, and associate member Logan Clarke,Jr. and the secretary, Mrs. Macomber. The hearings were called to order at 7:30 p.m. as follows: Pgul Marashio - renewal, roadside stand Josiah Willard Hayden Recreation Center, Inc. - permission to erect at 26 Lincoln Street a storage building and pavillion, approxi- mately 60 x 20 ft., to be used in conjunction with the present Hayden Recreational Center for recreational purposes. James H. McManus Shoppes, Inc. - to erect a double faced illumi- nated sign installed on a steel pole independent of the location build- ing at 399 Lowell St. Evert N. Fowle - to erect a two -car garage on property at 12 Winthrop Rd. which would have a 10 ft. side yard instead of the re- quired 15 ft. Lexington Housing Authority - to permit construction of housing for the elderly on a 10 -acre parcel at Shirley, Sargent and Tewksbury Sts. having insufficient frontage on the frontage streets. Louis and Catherine Stoico - for special permit under Sec.8(a)2.f. of the Lexington Zoning By -Law to subdivide a 10.6 acre parcel at the southwesterly cornet of the intersection of Marrett and Follen Rds. into lots containing not less than 20,000 sq.ft. and having a frontage of not less than 120 ft. Anthony Barsamian - to vary the Zoning By -Law in order to confirm the validity of the existing buildings located at 395-401 Lowell St. in conformance with the requirements of the Zoning By -Laws, more particu- larly with reference to Sec.B(b)l.a. John Brucchi - for permission to conduct a private riding school at 63 Paul Revere Rd. in which riding lessons would be given under the supervision of Susan Brucchi. Doris Ulchak - permission to maintain garage and attached shed at 200 Follen Rd. Following the hearings an executive session was held during which the following decisionswere made: Paul Marashio - granted Josiah Willard Hayden Recreation Center, Inc. - granted James H. McManus Shoppes, Inc. - denied Evert N. Fowle - denied Lexington Housing Authority - granted
