' March 30, 1965
A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held in
the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on Tuesday, Marsh 30, 1965.
Chairman Nickerson opened the hearings at 7:30 P.M. with members
Hoyt, Ripley and Wadsworth, and assoc. member Morey present.
The following petitions were heard:
Evangelical Covenant Church - request to vary the zoning by-law in
order to Subdivide a portion of Me Church's property in such a manner that
one lot will not have the required frontage on Allen Street; or alternately
that the division would be made so that each lot would have slightly less
than the required 150 dt. frontage, but sufficient area.
Evangelical Covenant Church - request to vary the zoning by-law in
order to erect a steeple on its new building at 50 Allen St. which would
be 90 ft. high instead of the permitted 65 ft.
E. L. Sharkey - permission to continue the use and extend for two
years,ebeginnTing March 30, 1965, of the premises known as Lot #11, 16
Hazel Road, Lexington, as the site of microwave transmitting equipment, in-
cluding specifically a long-range calibration unit.
William A. Oliver - request to vary the zoning by-law in order to
erect a garage a School St. which would result in a 6 ft. instead of a
10 -ft. side yard as permitted.
George L. Doherty'- request to vary the zoning by-law in order to
erect a porch at 102 Sc ool St. which would result in an 8-1/2 ft. side
yard instead of the permitted 10 ft.
At the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held during
which the following decisions were reached:
Evangelical Covenant Church - granted
Evangelical Covenant Church - granted
E. L. Sharkey - granted
William A. Oliver - -ranted
George L. Doherty - granted
All pertinent material with regard to the above petitions is on file
in each individual folder.
The meeting adjourned at 10:30 p.m.
