A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held
on Tuesday, April 7, 1964, at 7:30 p.m. in the Selectmen's Room,
Town Office Building. Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular
members Hoyt, Ripley, Wadsworth and associate member Dawes.
The following petitions were heard:
Warren N. Haussler for permission to allow the deeding of a
portion of one lot at 14 Larchmont Lane to an adjoining lot which
would result in a lot of the required area but a frontage of 105
ft. instead of the required 125 ft.
John J. McDonough for permission for an addition to existing
carport at 12 Winston Road which would result in a 26 ft. frontage
instead of the required 30 ft.
Joseph A. Dee for permission to erect a dwelling on 15 Webster
Road which would have insufficient area due to a State taking.
Joseph A. Hingston for permission to erect a garage at 181
Blossom St. which would result in 13-1/2 ft. instead of the required
' 15 ft. side yard.
Bertram M. Shuman for permission to add to a porch at 78 Hill
St. which would have a side yard of 12 ft. instead of the required
15 ft.
John S. Burgess for permission to erect a garage at 7 Middleby
Rd. which would result in rear and side yards of two feet instead of
the required 7-1/2 ft.
James V. Cosgrove for permission to conduct a roadside stand at
307 Wood St. for the purpose of selling poultry, eggs, produce, and
wood.
At the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held dur-
ing which the above requests were discussed, and the following deci-
sions reached:
Warren M. Haussler - granted
John J. McDonough - granted
Joseph E. Dee - granted
Joseph A. Hingston - granted
Bertram M Shuman - denied
John S. Burgess - denied
James V. Cosgrove - granted
All pertinent material with regard to the above petitions is on
file under the name of each petitioner. J
