HomeMy WebLinkAbout1964-03-10BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS March 10, 1964 A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, March 10, 1964, at 7:30 p.m. in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building. Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular members Hoyt, Ripley and Wadsworth and associate member Dawes. The following petitions were heard: Albert B. Pratley for permission to build a swimming pool at his residence, 0 Highland Avenue, which would be seven feet instead of the required fifteen feet from the rear property line. Leonard J. Friedman, M.D. for permission to use a portion of his home as an occasional professional office for the purpose of conduct- ing psychotherapeutic interviews with psychiatric patients. American Tel. & Tel. Co. - for permission to construct a "tele- phone exchange" in an R 1 district. The "telephone exchange" would consist of a small one-story building containing amplifying (repeated) equipment for use on the Airmont-Boston Coaxial Cable, and to be located at the southwest end of Rowland Ave. Joseph Belott_i for permission to relocate present house from 10 Concord Turnpike, Lexington to 21 Webster Road, Lexington, which has insufficient frontage due to part of said lot being taken by eminent domain by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for road purposes. At the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held during which the above requests were discussed, and the following decisions reached: Albert B. Pratley - granted Leonard J. Friedman, M.D. - granted Amer. Tel. & Tel. Co. - denied, 4-1, Mr. Wadsworth voting "for." Joseph Belotti - granted Meeting adjourned at 11:45 p.m. Louise M. Macomber Clerk 1
