HomeMy WebLinkAbout1964-02-25BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS February 25, 1964 A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, February 25, 1964, at 7:30 p.m. in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building. Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular mem- bers Hoyt, Ripley and Wadsworth and Associate member Ruth Morey. The following petitions were heard: Angelo Busa for permission to continue operation of roadside stand at 137 Grant Street for the same of vegetables and eggs. Salvatore Cianci for permission to build a garage on his land at 109 Shade Street which would have insufficient side yard. Mrs. A. Belin_ski for permission to relocate a building on Lot 233 17 Webster Road, which because of a State taking is smaller than that allowed under the Lexington Zoning By-law. Teel & Morrell for permission to install a wooden sign on the building at 703 Massachusetts Avenue which would be larger than that permitted. ' Saddle Club Pool Corporation for permission to use Lot 17 Saddle Club Road as a playground and private park for the residents of the neighborhood and to construct on this property a non-commercial and non-profit swimming pool, with the usual appurtenances thereto. Harvel W. Newgent for permission to subdivide land located at 21 Hastings Road in which the resulting lot would have more than the re- quired area but less than the required frontage. At the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held dur- ing which the above requests were discussed, and the following deci- sions reached: Apgelo Buss, - granted Salvatore Cianci - Granted Mrs. A. Belinski - Granted Teel & Morrell - Granted Saddle Club Pool Corp. - Withdrawn Harvey W. Newgent - Withdrawn Following the decisions the Board discussed the Planning Board's request for more information on advertising, etc. Also it was felt that the Planning Board generally did not get a letter in in time for the Board to give consideration to the Planning Board's opinion. It was decided to write to the Planning Board asking them for more time in which to study their viewpoint, and also to inform them that the
