HomeMy WebLinkAbout1963-05-28I:1071;ii e)wr:y;li01:11f.Va013AIk) J ' May 28,1943 A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, May 28, 1963, in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building at 7:30 p.m. Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular members Hoyt, Ripley, and Wadsworth, and associate member Morey. The following petitions were heard: Sherburne Swim Club for permission to use premises of two parcels of land, Lots A and C on Bacon Street, for the purpose of erecting and maintaining thereon a private park, playground and recreation buildings and structures including a swimming pool, all of a non-commercial and non-profit nature, together with an open air parking area for use in con- nection with the foregoing. C. H. McGee for permission to erect a metal sign with gold leaf lettering, 10' x 31, at 703 Massachusetts Avenue on left side of the building. Michael P. George for permission to permanently maintain radio an- tenna, 501 in height, with insufficient side yard at 161 Concord Avenue. Nathaniel P. and Alice A. Blish for permission to maintain dwelling at 150 Pleasant Street with insufficient setback on the abutting street. Wesley C. Nelson for permission to erect single family dwelling at 19 Chase Avenue with a setback of 26' instead of the required 30', and a setback on the abutting street of lbI instead of the required 201. Liberty Realty Trust for permission to add a second floor to the existing building at 15-17-19 Depot Square, Lexington Donald R. Mellen for permission to maintain dwelling at 247 Marrett Road which has insufficient side yards. At the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held during which the following decisions were reached: Sherburne Swim Club - denied C. H. McGee - denied Michael P. George - granted for five years Wesley 0 Nelson - granted Nathaniel and Alice Blish - granted Liberty Realty Trust - denied Donald R. Mellen - granted.
