A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held on
Tuesday, November 20, 1962 in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building.
Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular members Abbott, Hoyt and Wads-
worth, and associate member Sheldon.
The following petitions were heard:
Richard's Lumber Co., Inc. - permission to use a panel saw for the
occasional cu ting of lumber for the convenience of retail customers, ana
also to stack lumber outside when necessary due to lack of space inside
the building in connection with operation of a retail specialty and build-
ing material business at 394 Lowell St.
Silvio Ponte - permission to sell Christmas trees and wreaths at
118 Lowell Sit. a -ween December 10 and December 25, 1962.
Lexington Gardens Inc. - permission to sell Christmas trees, wreaths,
roping, etc. at 93 Hancock St. from December 10 to December 25, 1962.
Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Carpenito - permission to sell Christmas trees
and wreaths at 195 Woburn St. fFo—mDecember 8 to December 24, 1962.
Follen Church - permission to sell Christmas trees at 764 Massachu-
setts Ave. from December 8 through Dec. 23, 1962.
Elbert A. Fisher - permission to convey a portion of lot 58 on which
in comb ion w th o 59 at 12 Rangeway Rd. there is an existing structure,
to lot 57.
New England Tel. & Tel. Co. - permission to erect and maintain for a
period of one year a 607t. high aluminum allow tower with guys, antenna
structures and electrical communications materials on the roof of the tele-
phone exchange -building at 73 Waltham St.
At the close of the hearings an executive session was held during
which the following decisions were reached:
Richard's Lumber Co., Inc. - denied
Silvio Ponte - denied
Lexington Gardens, Inc. - granted
Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Carpenito - granted
Follen Church - granted
Elbert A. Fisher - granted
N.E. Tel and Tel Co. - granted
All pertinent material with regard to the above petitions is on file
under the name of each petitioner.
