October 30, 1962
A regular meeting of The Lexington Board of Appeals was held on
Tuesday, October 30, 1962 in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building.
Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular members Abbott, Hoyt and
Wadsworth, and associate member Sheldon.
The following petitions were heard:
C. H. McGee - permission to operate a linoleum business and havece
additiona of ispace for rental purposes within the main building at
703-705 Massachusetts Avenue.
A. D. Velardocchia - permission to erect a carport at 5 Marshall
Rd. which will have a set back of 26 ft. instead of the required 30 ft.
Richard G. Dome - permission to construct a shed roof 16, x 16,
greenhouse for home use at 2361a Massachusetts Ave.
Kennecott Copper Corporation - for a finding and determination,
that the proposed addition to Kennecott Copper Corporation, Ledgemont
Laboratory, of a kitchen and proposed topographical changes, parking areas,
loading areas, maneuvering areas, driveways and thq location of intersec-
tions of driveways and streets are such that the proposed re -design and
additions will constitute a suitable development in and will not result in
substantial detriment to the neighborhood.
Jerome J. Green - permission to erect addition to dwelling at 28
Winchester Dr., said addition to have side yard of 12 ft. instead of the
required 15 ft.
Lewis J. Rose - permission to maintain existing dwelling at 25
Fairlawn Lane which has a side yard of only 8.1 ft. instead of the re-
quired 15 ft.
Allan Green - permission to erect a garage at 6 Barberry Rd. which
will not havehrequired side yard.
At the close of the hearings an executive session was held during
which the following decisions were reached:
C. H. McGee - granted for a term of five years
A. D. Velardocchia - granted
Richard G. Domey - granted
Kennecott Copper Corp. - granted
Jerome J. Green - granted
Lewis J. Rose - granted
Allan Green - denied
' All pertinent material with regard to the above petitions is on file
under the name of each petitioner.
