HomeMy WebLinkAbout1962-05-22BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS ' May 22, 1962 A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, May 22, 1962, in the Selectments Room, Town Office Build- ing. Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular members Ballard, Norris and Ripley and associate member Tucker. The following petitions were heard: IvanG. Pyle for permission to build a one story garage addition with a side yard of only 5 ft. instead of the required 10 ft. and a set- back of 28 ft. instead of the required 30 ft., at 89 Meriam St. Arthur F. Douglass for permission to erect and maintain a building and the use thereof to conduct a funeral and embalming business therein, and also the construction and use, as a part of said building or as a separate building, of a garage for the storing and care of not more than four motor vehicles used in connection with said business on Worthen Rd. Mobil Oil Co. for permission to erect and maintain at 277 Bedford St. Mobil I.D. sign, 41311 x 814111, approximately 12-1/2F above ground, and Clean Rest Rooms" sign. Charles J. Abate for permission to erect a carport, 241 x 201, ' attached to dwelling at 7 Blueberry Lane with a side yard of 7-1/21 in- stead of the required 151. Angelo Nardone for permission to continue to operate roadside stand at 851 Waltham St. At the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held during which the following decisions were reached: Ivan G. Pyle - granted Arthur F. Douglass - denied - Mobil Oil Co. - granted Charles J.
