BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS
January 8, 1963
A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held on
Tuesday, January 8, 1963, in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Build-
ing. Present were Chairman Nickerson, members Hoyt, Ripley and Wads-
worth, and associate member Morey.
The following petitions were heard:
Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Starr for permission to erect a two-story
addition, 21' x 321, at 62 Hill St. which would have a side yard of
8' instead of the required 15'.
Adolph Cuccinello for permission to subdivide parcel of land at
92 Bridge St. on which there is an existing structure, and create two
new lots neither of which would have sufficient area or frontage.
C. Bix Shoemaker for permission to hang three signs at right
angles to entrances of offices located in building at 244 Bedford St.
and also to erect a sign on the side of the same building.
Itek Corporation for a finding and determination, under Sec. 5,
sub -section (f) and Sec. 8, sub -section (e)l.b.(1) of the Zoning By-
law of the Town of Lexington, that the proposed construction of shops
and office buildings in a CM 1 district will constitute a suitable
development and will not result in a substantial detriment to the
neighborhood; and for a variance of Sec. 8(e)l.b.(l) of the Zoning
By-law to allow a front yard on Maguire Rd. of 54' rather than 100'
required in the By-law.
9t the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held
during which the following decisions were reached:
Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Starr - granted
Adolph Cuccinello - denied
C. Bix Shoemaker - denied
Itek Corporation - denied
All pertinent material with regard to the above petitions is on
file under the name of each petitioner.
