BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS
' October 24, 1961
A regular meeting of the Lexington Board of Appeals was held
in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on Tuesday, October 24,
1961. Present were Chairman Nickerson, regular members Ripley, Ballard,
Emery, and associate member Norris. At 7:30 p.m. hearings were declared
open upon the following petitions:
Lorraine Miller Clifford - to build kitchenette and bath into
present house at 523 Lowellorder to make "mother-in-law" suite.
The Lexington Motor Inn Inc. - to erect directional standing
sign at Routes an , ft. from Rte. 128 on property owned
by The Lexington Motor Inn, Inc.; and also to add word "Motor" to exist-
ing sign on roof of Inn so as to read "Lexington Motor Inn.f'
Robert W. Cloud - to build an underground fall -out shelter at
18 Hastināgs IR7 w c would come within 4 ft. of the side boundary line
Carlisle L. Dieter - to erect lean-to greenhouse attached to
rear of dw ing a East St.
Lexington Upholsterer's - to erect two directional signs flat
' against the wall on y Muzzey St., one sign 23" x 30" on the left end of
the front of the building, and one sign 30" x 36" on the left and of
the right side of the building.
Louise T. Cavalieri - to make an addition to present building
at 272 Lowell St. w is wou d not have sufficient side yard.
At the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held
during which the following decisions were reached:
Lorraine Miller Clifford - denied
The Lexington Motor Inn, Inc. - granted
Robert W. Cloud - granted
Carlisle L. Dieter - granted
Lexington Upholsterer's - granted
Louise T. Cavalieri - granted
All pertinent material with regard to the above petitions is
on file in each individual folder.
