BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS
December 27, 1960
The Board of Appeals held public hearings on Tuesday, December 27,
1960 in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building. At 7 30 p.m. hear-
ings were declared open on the following petitions:
Pilgrim Church - to erect a church spire on its new building on
Coolidge Ave. which would be 90 ft. above ground level.
Battle Green Inn Inc. - to build an addition to their present
building at 1( U Mass. Ave. , said addition to be built on land known as
36 Waltham St.; and also to eliminate the required 10 ft. rear yard.
D. Hugh Darden - to remove sub-surface material at 61 Burlington
St. during process of regrading area.
Buss Brothers - to erect a sign 2' x 8', on south side of building
at 131 Mass. Ave.; and also to erect free-standing stainless steel letters
on front canopy of building.
David H. Kimmel - to maintain garage at 140 Wyman Rd. which has in-.
sufficient side yard.
At the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held during
which the following decisions were reached:
Pilgrim Church - granted
Battle Green Inn, Inc. - granted
D. Hugh Darden - granted
Buss Brothers - denied
David H. Kimmel - granted
All pertinent material relative to the above hearings is on file
in each individual folder.
