BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS
November 29, 1960
The Board of Appeals held hearings on Tuesday, November 29, 1960
in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building. At 7:30 p.m. hearings
were declared open on the following petitions:
David R. Chipman - to erect a two-car garage at 5 Whipple Rd.
which would have insufficient setback and rear yard.
MIT, Lincoln Laboratory - to erect a lean-to addition on the west
wall of the existing Lexington Field Station building at 238 Wood St.
Beatrice F. Morse - to erect a carport to non-conforming dwelling
at 1 Vinebrook Rd. which would not have required setback or side yard.
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3007 - to erect an addition 24 ft.
x 2l ft. to existing building at 2 Hayes Lane.
Russell E. Carroll - to operate a dry cleaning business at 168
Bedford St.
Lexington Inn - to erect one single-faced sign 9'4" x 9'4" at front
of petitionerls property overlooking Route 128.
At the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held during
which the following decisions were made:
David R. Chipman - granted
MIT Lincoln Laboratory - granted
Beatrice F. Morse - granted
Veterans of Foreign Wars - denied
Russell E. Carroll - granted
Lexington Inn - denied
All pertinent material relative to the above hearings is on file
in each individual folder.
