HomeMy WebLinkAbout1959-03-242123 BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS ' March 24, 1959 The Board of Appeals held hearings on Tuesday, March 24, 1959, in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on the following peti- tions: MIT Lincoln Laboratory - to erect a metal frame building 148 ft. X 28 ft., plus a telephone pole antenna system at 238 Wood St. Peacock Farms Association - to use the property held by the trus- tees ot said Association as a -playground and private park for the resi- dents of the Peacock Farms community, and to construct on this property, Peacock Farm Road, a non-commercial and non-profit swimming pool, 75 ft. long, 25 ft. wide at the deep end, and 45 ft. wide at the shallow end. Tremarco Co oration - to erect a free standing sign for gaso- line sere ee station at 324 Marrett Rd. and Waltham St. Craft Cleanasrs - to erect three signs on the marquee of the building oea cn bison Way and known as No -1707 Mass. Ave. William T. Hardy - to construct and operate a retail gasoline station, o nc a—oil and greasing station, and place of business for the sale and installation of tires and other automotive accessories, and garage for storage and repair of motor vehicles, on the lot of land at the northwest corner of Waltham St. and Concord Ave. William H. Hamilton - to subdivide a parcel of land on the corner of Wo en. ass. ve. into two lots; lot A to have sufficient frontage and area, lot B to have sufficient frontage but insufficient area. At the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held during which the following decisions were reached; MIT Lincoln Laboratory - granted Peacock Farms Assn. - granted Tremarco Corp. - denied Craft Cleanswers - denied William T.
