BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS
INovember 20, 1956
A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, November
20, 1956 in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building. At 8:00 p.m.
hearings were declared open upon the following petitions:
Ra�nn d and Emilio Desimone - to continue the use of the tool
shed on laTloca a on private—right of way off Webb St.
Persia L. Ballou - to operate a scheduled play group for not more
than ten children ITIer residence 2013 Mass. Ave., said group to be
operated in the forenoon, not more than three days a week.
Herbert C. and Ethel M. Bourne - to erect a two -car garage at
183 Bedford . which come to within 5 ft. of the side lot line.
Richard H. Singleton - to erect a tool house at 379 Woburn St.
Which WILL �e loca�o the rear lot line.
Stanley M. W man M.D. - to (1) erect and maintain, on a certain
parcel oJAnd containing 13.,14d sq.ft., situated at 160 Waltham St.
Lot #7, A colonial type building consisting of basement and one story
having a frontage of approx. 50 ft. and a depth of approx. 32 ft.,
together with X-ray equipment to be contained therein, to be used as a
physician's professional office for the diagnosis and treatment of
patients, (2) to erect and maintain in the rear of said premises a
private open air parking area to service not less than 12 motor vehicles
for use by the petitioner, his staff, patients and guests in connection
with the maintenance of said physician's office; (3) to erect and main-
tain a portion of the northeasterly side wall of said building 7 ft.
from the northerly side line of said lot as shown on sketch submitted.
Moore Realty Trust - to maintain the existing house at 10 Essex
St. having s eyan s o 10 ft. instead of the 12 ft. required by the
Zoning By-law
At the close of the hearings an executive session was held during
which the following decisions were made:
Raymond and Emilio Desimone - granted, subject to the following
conditions: (1) the building shall not be used for residential purposes;
(2) the use of the building shall extend only until Aug.14, 1957.
Persis L. Ballou - granted, subject to the following conditions:
(1) that an assistant be employed at all times; (2) that the children
be properly supervised at all times; (3) the outdoor play area shall be
properly fenced in; (4) this permit shall expire June 30, 1957.
