BOARD OF APPEALS BE&RTNGS
April 17, 1956
A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held on Tuesday, April 17,
1956 in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building. At 8:00 p.m.
hearings were declared upon upon the following petitions:
Antonio Buss - to continue the construction of a house at 7 Cum-
mings Ave. with a setback from the street of 26 feet instead of the
30 ft. required.
Alfred Antonelli - to continue with the construction of a house
at 9 Cummings Ave. with a set back from the street of ?5'2" instead
of the 30 ft. required.
Richard W. Nylander - to make an addition to his house at 15 Has-
kell St. which would nave a side yard on Crescent Hill Ave. of 14 ft.
instead of the required 20 ft.
Wilson Fara, Inc. - to erect a greenhouse, work room and boiler
room 9(J'' x 34'.W" on their property adjacent to 6 Pleasant St. which
building would be made of aluminum and glass in the case of the green-
house, and concrete blocks in the case of the heater room, to be
located approx. 110 ft. from Pleasant St. and 50 ft. from the back of
the present roadside stand.
Frank A. Yeomans - to erect an addition to a non-conforming dwell-
ing at 1.4 Parker St. to be carried along the front of the building in
line with the present bay window, which would be demolished, and to ex-
tend to a point 12 ft. from the body of the building towards Mass. Ave.
which would make a side yard of 16 feet between it and the next propert
line, substantially in accordance with plot plan submitted.
Mass. Inst. of Technolouy - to erect and maintain a galvanised
steel building as per drawings submitted, at the LILT. Field Station
at 238 Wood St.
At the close of the hearings an executive session was held dur-
ing which the following decisions were reached:
Antonio Buse - granted
Alfred Antonelli - granted
Richard W. Nylander - granted
Wilson Farm., Inc. - granted
Frank A. Yeomans - granted, subject to the condition that the
steps and the platform will not encroach more than 3 ft, into the front
yard of 20 ft.
Mass. Inst. of Technology - granted.
