HomeMy WebLinkAbout1955-10-25 73 BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS October 25, 1955 A regular meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on Tuesday, October 25, 1955. At 8 00 p.m. hearings were declared open on the following petitions Helen A. McCaffrey - to erect a single family dwelling an Lots 9 and OB numbered 5 Aaron Rd which will have a frontage of 120 ft. instead of 125 ft. and an area of 14,960 sq.ft. instead of 15,500 sq ft as required under the Zoning By-law Harold Michelson - to erect an addition approx 6181, x 15'6" to existing building at 1788 Mass. Ave. to be used as part of present store, said addition not having the required rear yard. Emilia Dias - to change the one family house at 389 Concord Ave. into a rwo-family house, substantially in accordance with the plans sub- mitted. Wilson Farm, Inc - to continue to operate the roadside stand adjacent to ##6 Pleasant St Harvey W. Newgent - to vary the Zoning By-law to permit the erec- tion of a two-car garage on Lot #21 numbered 21 Hastings Rd which will be located 20 ft. from the street instead of 30 ft , and 12 ft from the side line instead of 15 ft., as required under the Lexington Zoning By- law Lewandos French Dyeini & Cleaning Co - to maintain a business of a cleansing and pick up station at #13 Depot Sq , and to erect and main- tain a sign, substantially as shown on the sketch submitted At the close of the hearings an executive session was held during which the following decisions were made- Helen A McCaffrey - granted, provided that the set back, side yards and rear yard will conform to the requirements of the Lexington Zoning By-law. Harold Michelson - to erect an addition approx 688" x 15'6" to existing bldg. - denied Emilia Dias - granted, subject to the condition that all require- ments of the Building Bylaw are complied with Wilson Farm, Inc. - grranted, subject to the following conditions (1) that the premises shall at all times be kept in a neat and orderly condition; (2) that no cars shall be allowed to park on Pleasant St (3) that no floodlights shall be installed; (h) that only vegetables, fruits 74 poultry products grown on the lard of the petitioner that is within the Town shall be sold; (5) that this permit shall expire Oct. 23, 1956. Harvey W Newgent - denied Lewandos French Dyeing & Cleaning Co. - granted Muriel C Stone, Clerk
