BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS
April 8, 1954
A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen's
Room, Town Office Building, Lexington, on kpril 8, 1954.
At 8:00 p.m. hearings were declared open on the following peti-
tions:
Louis Kraff - to erect a sign on the property located at 310
Marrett Rd. sire-approx. 63" x 43". The sign would be double faced, illu-
minated on each side and operated only for such hours as the store would
be open.
Harvey W. Newgent - to erect a sign approx. 2' x 7' at right angles
to the�i oni of the building at 10 Depot Sq.
Harold Quinn - to erect a single family dwelling to be used as a
combination rT aessi a and doctor's office at 1492 Mass. Ave.
Andrew Cupp - to erect a greenhouse 35' x 155' at 171 Woburn St.
Paul W. Johnson'- to erect a single family dwelling on lots 36-B
and 37 numbered 'dry St. on the present foundation.
Harry A. Hall 3rd - to erect a single family dwelling at 10 Patriots
Drive, nouse to be set at such an angle that a portion of the building
would be 13 ft. from the rear lot line.
Howard A. Smith D.V.M. - to erect a single family dwelling at 476
Bedford St.
At the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held during
which the following decisions were reached:
Louis Kraff - Denied
Harvey W. Newgent - Denied
Harold Quinn - Denied
Andrew Cupp - Granted
Paul W. Johnson - Granted - provided that the condition of the said
foundation is satisfactory to the Building Inspector and that the Building
By-laws of the Town.are complied with.
Harry A. Hall 35d - Granted
Howard A. Smith - Granted - subject to the same condition as in the
permit granted October 15, 1953 to maintain a veterinarian's office and animal
hospital in a portion of the building, and subject to the further condition
that the use of the premises as a veterinarian's office and animal hospital
shall continue only so long as Dr. Smith owns and occupies the premises.
