BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS
III October 15, 1953
A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen's
Room, Town Office Building, Lexington, on October 15, 1953
At 8:00 p.m, hearings were declared open upon the following
Petitions:
Hildreth Motors - to erect two illuminated signs, each on poles
approx. 10 ft. high on the premises at 34 Bedford St.
Alice M. Reardon - to erect a garage on Lot #165 Tarbell Ave.
Robert E Doran - to remove and sell excess gravel and fill from
the premises at 150 East St.
Dr. Howard A. Smith - to erect and maintain a Veterinarian's
office and Animal Hospital at #476 Bedford St.
Nancy C. Schock - to operate a nursery school for not more than
ten children aged three to five years, four mornings a week from
October through May at 15 Vaille Ave.
John H. Millican2 Jr. - to erect a conservatory 20' x 30' attached
to the rear of the garage at 90B Hancock St.
Wilson Farm - to continue to operate roadside stand adjacent to
#6 Pleasant St.
Following the hearings an Executive Session was held during
which the following decisions were reached
Hildreth Motors - Denied.
Alice M Reardon - Granted
Robert E Doran - Granted subject to the condition that no top-
soil shall be removed from the premises but shall be replaced all over
the excavated area
Dr. Howard A Smith - Granted subject to the condition that no
outside yards or runways shall be constructed.
Nancy C. Schock - Granted subject to the following conditions: 1)
that the Permit shall expire June 1, 1954; 2) That the children shall
be properly supervised at all times, both inside and outside the build-
ing; 3) that one assistant shall be employed.
John H. Millican, Jr. - Granted
Wilson Farm - Granted subject to the following conditions: 1)
the premises shall at all times be kept in a neat and orderly condition;
2) no cars shall be allowed to park on Pleasant St.; 3) no floodlights
shall be installed; 4) that only vegetables, fruits and poultry products
grown on the land of the petitioner that is within the Town shall be
sold; 5) This permit shall expire October 23, 1954.
