HomeMy WebLinkAbout1953-08-20 247 BOARD OF APPF.AT 5 HEARINGS August 20, 1953 A meeting of the Board of Appeals waw held in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, Lexington, on August 20, 1953. At 8:00 p.m. hearings were declared open upon the following petitions: James J. Dolan - to maintain the dwelling and garage as present- ly located on the lot at 17 Hagâ–șilton rd. Mrs. C. S. Broussard - to operate a nursery school 5 days a week for children aged 2 to 5 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at 21 Butler Ave., Lexington. Raymond and Emilio DeSimone - to continue the use of the tool shed on land located on private right of way off Webb St. Alfred Buse - to erect a single car garage and screened-in porch at 9U Lowell St. Mary E. Dacey - to operate a kindergarten for children of pre- school age at 545 Bedford St. subject to the following conditions: 1, that not more than 10 children shall be in attendance at any one time; 2. that this Permit shall expire August 20, 1954. Edwin M. Poor - to erect a garage and breezeway, using the foundation which was constructed in 1947.(40 Ivan St.) Following the hearings an Executive Sesainn was held during which the following decisions were reached: James J. Dolan - granted Mrs. C. S. Broussard - subject to the following conditions: 1. that not more than 10 children shall be in attendance at any one time; 2. that one assistant shall be employed; 3. that any outside play area must be fenced in with a suitable fence; 4. that no portion of the basement shall be used by the children attending the school; 5. that the children shall be property supervised at all times; 6. that the premises shall be kept in a neat and orderly condition at all times; 7. that the Permit shall expire August 20, 1954. Raymond and Emilio DeSimone - granted subject to the following conditions: 1. that the building shall not be used for residential purposes; 2. the use of the building shall extend only until August 14, 1954.
