BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS
iJune 25, 1953
A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Select-
men's Room, Town Office Building, Lexington, on June 25, 1953.
Messrs. Lynah, Ripley, Ballard, Duffy and Houdlette were present.
The clerk was also present. Mr. Lynah took the Chair.
At 8:00 p.m. hearings were declared open upon the petitions
as follows:
Alfred P. Tropeano - to erect and maintain physicians,
dentists, and other professional offices at 114 Waltham St.
Herman Mackay - to operate a plumbing and heating business
at 35 Wim St., also to erect a post sign at the above premises of
a size 2' x 116", and to remove present loam and replace with gravel
for a parking area at the rear, such area being approximately 501 x
60'.
Dr. Melvin P. Osburne - to erect an addition of three bed-
rooms and atwo-car at ac garage at 32 Moon Hill Rd. i
James J. Carroll Jr., O.D. - to establish a professional office
for the practice of optometry a 25 Bedford at.
' Ruth P. Kugler - to maintain single family dwelling at 1347
Mass. Ave.
Mary E. Stankard - to make alterations to present single house
at 130 Marrett Rd. in order to accommodate two families.
Persia L. Ballou - to maintain and operate a scheduled play
group or not more than 12 children, to be operated between the hours
of 9:30 to 12 noon not more than three days a week, at her residence
2013 Mass. Ave.
Oscar W. Carlson - to erect a single family dwelling on Lot 140
and pareo��, Outlook Dr., and a single family dwelling on
Lot 138 and part of Lot 139, 93 Outlook Dr., which will not have the
required frontage.
At the close of the hearings an Executive Session was held
during which the following decisions were reached:
Alfred P. Tropeano - denied
Herman Mackay - granted subject to thhe following conditions:
that the property be kept in a neat and orderly condition and that
there be no unnecessary noise which would be a disturbance to the
neighborhood.

James J. Carroll Jr. - denied
Ruth P. Kugler - granted

Persis L. Ballou - granted - subject to the condition that the
children shall be properly supervised at all times and that the per-
mitted use shall expire on June 19, 1954.
