HomeMy WebLinkAbout1951-08-23BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS August 23, 1951 A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on Tuesday, August 23, 1951. At 8:00 p.m. hearings were declared open upon the following petitions: Louisa J. Jordan - to conduct a kindergarten for ten children between the ages of 4-1/2 and 5 years, at No. 15 Normandy Road, sub Porter Bros. & Wilson - to erect a greenhouse on their property on East St. as per plan submitted. James A. Lopez - to operate a Day Nursery at Countryside located at 400 Lowell St. F. K. Johnson - to convert two-family dwelling at 11-13 Muzzey St. to an office building, construction of which will not conform to the Lexington Building By-laws. Joseph A. Gleason - to subdivide a lot at the corner of Scjpp; St. and Eastern Ave. by selling a strip ofthis lot 25 ft. wide facing on Eastern Ave. ' At the close of the hearings an executive session was held during which the following decisions were reached: Louise J. Jordan - granted subject to the following conditions: that the children shall be supervised at all times, that the permit shall expire August 2�, 1952, and that any necessary permits from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts shall be obtained. Porter Bros & Wilson - granted James A. Lopez - granted, subject to the following conditions: that the children shall be supervised at all times, that this permit shall expire on August 2, 1952, and that any necessary permits from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts shall be obtained; and with the further condition that an exit be made on the west dining room facing Woburn St. which will be acceptable to the Building Inspector.
