HomeMy WebLinkAbout1950-09-14 383 BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS September 14, 1950 A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on Tuesday, September 14, 1950. At 8:00 p.m. hearings were declared open on the following petitions: Daniel Curtin - to use the entire building at 442 Marrett Rd., for business. Petitioner stated that a portion of this building had; been used for business purposes since 1921; and he now wished to use the entire building for the retail sale of toys. No alterations woup.d be made to the building at this time and there would be no manufactur- ing on the premises. Donald B. Lindsay - to erect a single-car garage on Lot C 1;7 Wood St. which would be located 10 ft. from the southerly .lot line. W. E. Cole - to erect a garage on lot #15, 6 Sherman St., thel corner nearest Sherman St. being 16 ft. Doris A. MacNeil - to subdivide lot 216 Shade St., the purpose being to add half of lot 216 to lot 215 making a new lot with a fron- age of 75 ft. on Shade St. ' - Arthur C. Weiss - to subdivide lot 216 Shade St. and to combine it with Lot 217, so that the new lot will have a frontage on Shade St. of 75 ft. Thomas F. Cavanaugh - to subdivide #149 Grant St. into two lots providing a frontage of 87.9 ft. for the existing dwelling and leaving a frontage of 100 ft. for the new lot, in accordance with plot plan uubmitted. At the close of the hearings an executive session was held dar- ing which the following decisions were made: Daniel Curtin - granted Donald B. Lindsay granted W. E Cole - granted Doris A. MacNeill - granted Arthur C. Weiss - granted Thomas F. Cavanaugh - granted Muriel C. Stone, Clerk
