HomeMy WebLinkAbout1950-05-18359 I BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS May 18, 1950 The Board of Appeals held a meeting in the Selectmen's Room, Town Office Building, on Tuesday, May 18, 1950. At 8:00 p.m. hearing$ were called to order on the following petitions: HarX7 R. Bryn - to divide the parcel of land lying between Fletcher Ave. and Hayes Lane and bounded northeasterly by land of Jefferson Union Co. and southwesterly by land of John L. Murray and Louise Sexton, northwesterly by Fletcher Ave and southeasterly by Hayes Lane, into four lots and to erect thereon four Cape Cod style houses, in accordance with plot plan submitted. F. Scott Carpenter - to erect a single-family dwelling, with garage Mer,, on Lots 7, 8 and9 in Block 25, Simonds Rd., the combine4 lots having insufficient frontage and area. Dwelling to be set back alt least 20 ft. from Simonds Rd. with side yards of 23 ft. John M. Wathen - to erect a single-family dwelling with garage` undernsat on o s , 7, and B, Preston Rd. Lexington, which will not, have the required frontage. Ma E. Perry M.D. - to maintain an office for the practice of ' medicine at 1903 Mass. ve. Darrell B. Mattinson - to enlarge the existing porch on the building a 612 -617 -Mass. Ave. At the close of the hearings an executive session was held dura ing which the following conclusions were reached: Harry R. Bryn - granted F. Scott Carpenter - granted John M. Wathen granted Mary E. Perry, M.D. - granted subject to the condition that she should have listed office hours, hat during the week days she should', have the same hours as other doctors in the town; and no hours on Sun.+ days except for emergency cases. Durrell B. Mattinson - granted with the following conditions: that the existing porch is enlarged to become 10 ft. wide instead of 5 ft. wide and that the portion of proposed addition nearest to Mass. Ave. would be in line with the existing porch and 3 ft. from the lot line and 20 ft. from Mass. Ave. Muriel C. Stone, Clerk 4 i
