BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS
August 26, 1948
A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen�s
Room, Town office Building, on Thursday, August 26,19118. Chairman
Locke, Messrs. Rich, Houdlette, and Ripley were present. The clevk
was also present.
At 8:03 p.m. the following hearings were declared open:
Anthony J. Ruggiero for permission to use, on the dwelling
on Lot 34 Richard Road, a brick -faced wall consisting of 4" brick
backed up by a 4" cinder block.
Dr. Harvey W. Atkinson for permission to erect, at 1351
Massachusetts Avenue, a two -car garage which would not have the r®-
quired side yard.
Florence C. Capone for permission to erect a greenhouse at
1099 Massachusetts Avenue. N
Ernest E. Alger, Jr. for permission to erect on Lot 114 Fair
Oaks Drive a dwelling the construction of which would not meet the
' requirements of the Lexington Building By-law.
S. J. Hymers for permission to erect, on Sunnyfield Lot 52
Ivan Street a dwelling the construction of which would not meet the
requirements of the Lexington Building By-law. (Withdrawn)
In executive session the following decisions were reached:
Anthony J. Ruuggiero - granted
Harvey W. Atkinson - granted
Florence C. Capone - granted
Ernest E. Alger, Jr. - granted
The Board then considered the proposal of Mr. MacNeil that
he endeavor to clear up with the Building Inspector and the Town
Counsel of Lexington the question as to whether or not the Wolsey
House complies with the regulations recently issued by the State
Board of Standards and whether or not such regulations supersede
the Lexington Building By-law.
The Board unanimously agreed that Mr. MacNeil be advised thtt
the Board was in agreement with his suggestion, and a letter was
dictated to the clerk of the Board advising Mr. MacNeil of the sa$ie.
The meeting was adjourned at 10:32 P.M.
