BOARD OF APPEALS HEARINGS
July 22, 1948
A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen's
Room, Town Office Building, on July 22, 1948. Chairman Locke,
Messrs. Redman, Rich, Duffy, and Houdlette were present. The
clerk was also present.
At 8.10 p.m. hearing was declared open upon the petitions of
the following:
William Neal for permission to use the building located at
16 Curve Street for storing and lettering trucks and carrying on .a
sign business.
Milton C. Shaw for permission to erect, at 147 Grant Street,
a one-car garage which would not have the required setback or
side yard.
Shell Oil Co.for permission to erect one 48-inch neon sign!
on a pole at 286 Lincoln Street, Lexington.
The hearings were declared closed at 8:47 p.m. and the fol+
lowing decisions reached in executive session:
William Neal - denied
Milton Shaw - denied
Shell Oil Co. - granted

The meeting was adjourned at 9:35 p.m.
