April 23, 1928
A meeting of the Board of Appeals was held in the Selectmen's
Room, Town Office Building on April 23, 1948. Chairman Locke,
Messrs. Brown, Ripley, Rich, and Houdlette were present. The clerk
was also present.
At 8:00 p.m. hearings were declared open upon the petitions df
the following:
Oren J. Dose for permission to erect a dwelling and garage oA
the premises located at the northeast corner of Bartlett Avenue and
Lowell Street, shown on a plan entitled "Plan of Rosemont, Lexington,"
by Rowland H. Barnes and Henry F. Beal, C.E., filed in the office of
the Town Engineer under number D360, and in accordance with plot plan
submitted.
W. E. Maloney and Arlex Oil Corporation for permission to
erect a building to be used as a showroom, office, and garage for
housing motor vehicles on a portion of Lot 33 Massachusetts Avenue,
Lexington, as shown on a plan entitled "Plan of East Lexington Anne$,
East Lexington, Mass.", November 1917, by Clarence E. Carter.
' Fulton Brown for permission to alter the shed roof adjoining
the blacksmith shop and build an addition, 81 x 201, to the storage
building at 7 and 9 Muzzey Street, as per plans submitted.
Donald T. Hill for permission to erect a dwelling on Burling.+
ton Street on Lot H which is the incorporation of Lots 17, 18, and
parts of 16 and 19 in Block 11 as shown on a plan by George H.
Wetherbee, Jr., dated January 4, 1926, entitled "Lexington Building
Trust, Lexington," and on plot plan by Everett M. Brook, C.E., sub-
mitted April 6, 1948 with the application to the Board of Appeals.
Hearings were declared blosed at 9:10 p.m and the following
decisions made in executive session:
Oren J. Dose - granted
W. E. Maloney and Arlex Oil Corp. - granted
Fulton Brown - denied
Donald T. Hill - granted
The meeting adjourned at 10:15 p.m.
