MINUTES OF LEXINGTON COMMISSION 2000
MEETING OF APRIL 27, 1999
ROOM 111, TOWN HALL, LEXINGTON, MA

Skip called the meeting to order at 7 05 p m
Skip went over the background of the Commission, planned events and
issues relating to All-Pro to bring Dawn McKenna, new Selectmen Liaision
up to speed
CHAIRMAN
-Skip discussed the Commission joining the Boston CVB to help with PR
for 2000
-There was discussion as to how to handle requests for information that
come in A tri-fold mailer should/will be developed rather than faxing
information requests
-All Pro issues were discussed They were planning to attend the meeting
but didn't show up They want a seperate meetingg Skip will get in
touch with them regarding if it is appropriate for them to come to the
May 11th meeting
-Skip will give changes for the letterhead to Pat
-Discovery Day is Saturday, May 29, 1999 l0a m -4 p m We will have a
table and be giving out information Table should/will be located near
the Historical Society and the Lexington Minute Men More info on
Discovery Day at the next meeting
-The Historical Society and Minute Man National Paark are sponsoring a
Ball at the Westin Waltham on April 1, 2000 This will take the place of
the event being discussed for the State House
-Skip introduced Bill Mix and Bill Rose who will be joining the
Commission as fundraisers There was discussion regarding fundraising
issues
TREASURER
-George passed out the treausrers report We pay $500/month for the Web
Page Starwood contributed $5000 towards the cost of the Web page
