MEETING OF JUNE 16, 1998
ROOM 111, TOWN HALL, LEXINGTON, MA
PRESENT: Skip Hayward, Jim Roberts, Suzie Barry, George Comtois, F

GUEST Claudio Tracana, Spider Web Design
The minutes of the May 19, 1998 meeting were accepted as received by
e-mail.
BANNERS-
-Claudio Tracana of Spider Web Design will work on the design of the
banner with Skip so that one banner with all of the hardware required
can be presented to the Historic Districts Commission (HDC) at one of
their meetings this fall (1998) . Claudio will e-mail potential designs
to Skip
-Skip and George will meet with Bob Sacco of Lexington Press to see if
he would be willing to approach the business community to support the
banner project .
CHAIRMAN
-BRAINSTORMING MEETING OF MAY 16, 1998 :
-The Brainstorming meeting of May 16, 1998 was a success . Pat handed out
the list of attendees and copies of applications received back from
groups indicating interest in participating in the weekend. Applications

All of the applications were voted on and approved. Pat will forward
copies of parade interest applications to John Graham of Town

Celebrations Committee
Letters of acknowledgement will be sent to each group by Suzie with a
copy to Pat & Skip
-Pat discussed an idea the Knights of Columbus is proposing for a tatoo
(exhibition of musical groups) Pat will follow up with the Knights
DISCOVERY DAY - MAY 23, 1998 -
-Skip declared Discovery Day a success. We were able to get our message
out to alot of people We distributed nearly all of the bookmarks The
bookmarks will be reprinted with revisions and distributed to different
locations throughout town.
FUNDRAISING
-Skip has been in touch with one fundraising firm (Carlton) and will
contact All Pro Productions before the next meeting He will try to have
representatives from both companies at the next meeting if possible
PAUL KEANE:
-Skip read a letter from Paul Keane regaring using the Lexington 2000
logo on novelty items It was decided to name Paul as the "official
recognized novelty supplier for the Lexington Commission 2000" for the
list of items he sent to Skip. Paul will also be made an honorary member
of the committee Skip will follow up with a letter.
LAST NIGHT-
-There was discussion over possible conflict/confussion with the Last
Night Committee Skip will follow up with Dan Busa.
VICE-CHAIRMAN-
-Jim Roberts reported that Charlie Linskey of the Lexington Minute Men
will help set up our Web page Anticipated date of completion is the end
of the Summer 1998
TREASURER.
-George handed out a treasurers report.
-It was decided that the fee for the first banner will come from the

-George will be meeting with Linda Liu regarding setting up the
financial report and setting up the budget.
SECRETARY
-Suzie will book monthly meetings thru the end of the year. We will
probably go to two meetings per month in January 1999.
