1 Re- 55 Hancock St Ms Harris, a real estate broker with DeWolfe,
inquired about 55 Hancock A client wishes to purchase this property in
order to demolish it. House built in first decade of this century
Motion- EM. Gilman, second , B Witthoft] If application for demolition of 55
Hancock were to be made, we would require a public hearing under the
demolition delay by-law
Discussion: explanation of the ordinance Gilman explained that unless the
request is clearly to demolish a damaged burnt, or insignificant building,
a hearing must be held

3 Maple St. Bridge Gilman will attend hearing at Cary Hall on Dec 8 re
this bridge There is a proposal to replace the old stone bridge with a
wider modern one The LHC states that "we wish to see scale and general
style of bridge preserved."
4. at 8.25 Mr Martin Hateling arraived to inquire about 840 Mass Ave We
informed him that this is #225 on the "Inventory" and is in the East
Lexington Historic District. his queries should go to the Historic Districts
Commission.
5 Gilman has invited David Kel l and, 884 Mass Ave, to join the LHC Kel 1 and
served on the commission many years ago before moving away from
Lexington
