PRESENT. Bill Fitzgerald, Chairman, Ray Flynn, 2nd Vice Chairman,
Pat Flynn, 1st Vice,Chairman, John Hayden, Dawn McKenna,
Jean Coates, Marilyn McWeeney
Chairman Bill called the meeting to order at 815 p m The minutes were
accepted as presented.
VETERANS DAY UPDATE.
Invitation Report.
Marion has sent out invitations, the town manager is coming.
Tom Driscoll is all set, he will be the Chief Marshall, and Pat Flynn will
act as Master of Ceremonies.
Pat -- National Guard Armory Major Robert Mitchell will be coming, if not
him, Frances Breenan
John,- Working on them-- is going to send letters to Boy Scouts, will
co-ord. with Paul on the Demolay
Marilyn -- working on invitations to youth groups
Ray .-- going to see Rev Polly Guild on weekend
Dawn -- set letter to Schutt Detachment.
Dawn passed out 1st draft on Veterans Day Celebrations
Steve Doran will give the Greeting. Jacqueline Smith will read the
proclamation. The committee reveiwed the draft.
Jim Mitchell will be riding in a car
ELECTIONS.
Ray made a motion, which was seconded, that the 1989/90 slate of
officers remain the same as this past years officers. The motion was
passed with no opposition. Congratulatians�����EIHffliII!Il i�i�i
Two resumes from interested candidates for the Associate membership
were reveiwed by the committee (Mr Ellis and Mr Carlson].
Arnold Poiuka, from Florida, has contacted Bill in regard to bringing a
group of students to Lexington for Patriots Day, 1 1 Bill shared their
itinerary with the committee, Bill has already arr1anged various things for
them
In attendance at the next meeting will be the Chief Marshal, his aides and
a representative of the Lexington Minute Men.
