PRESENT: Churn. Barnes, Mrs Litchfield, Mrs. Severance, Mr. Lord, Mr. Sperduto,
and Mrs. Half,.
VISITOR: Mrs. Estey
UNITEl! NATIONS DAY:
MrLester Goodrich, principal at the Bridge School, sent this committee a letter of
apology for not being able to be on the Green on United Nations Day for the ceremonies.
VETERANS DAY:
Mrs. Litchfield will write to Edward Fitzgerald, Chief Marshal of the Veterans Day
Parade, and give him this committee's thanks for a job well done.
We have received a bill in the amount of $10.00 from the Veterans Of Foreign Wars
for the very fine collation given the parade participants after the parade.
PATRIOTS DAY - 1967
Mrs. Estey came to this meeting to tell the committee that she would like her three
byys to be the "Spirit Of '76" on April 19th. Two of her boys were members of the
41Spirit Of '7640 last year. We explained to her that no firm commitments could be
made at this time, since there is the possibility that some of the original members
may be available to march. She will bring her boys to a meeting in January to
': audition for this committee.
Committee members shod be thinking of a theme for next year. Mrs. Litchfield
felt 'Lest We Forget" would be one thought, taken from Colonel Ditmanes address
on Noevmber 11th.
Mrs. Litchfield will write to Jason Correll of Concord's Celebrations Committee
again requesting their share of expenses for some of the parade participants to
be bussed and given lunch on last April 19tho
This committee is adjourned until Thursday evening, January 5th, at 8 o'clock in
the Selectmen's Office. BRING PARADE THEME IDEAS TO THIS MEETINGoo
