FEBRUARY 1 hEETING
This will be an open meeting for all participants in the morning andafternoon parades.

Mrs. Litchfield gave Mr. Lewis the names of bands who have accepted invitations to
march. Mr. Lewis will appoint his assistants and submit names in two weeks.
Hopefully, he will inspire the veterans organizations to participate. It was moved
and seconded that Mr. Hagard be Marshal of the morning parade. Also, it was
- suggested that the Eagle Scouts act as aides, or high-up Girl Scouts, Sea Scouts,
etc., as an incentive for younger scouts. Steven Shaw will be in the Spirit of 076
as the drummer. Martin Gilman mill be in charge of arranging for the Spirit of 076,
finding costumes and dstermining what is needed. Mr. Ganghan will be in charge of
floats in the parade and will meet with the Chamber of Commerce and Mr. Howard to
determine the criteria for judging floats and arrange that the application form
states those criteria. (The Chamber of Commerce appoints„ judges and donates tro
phies). Mr. Gaughan and Mr. Douglass will arrange for cars to transport guests etc.
Nivea of guests will go to Buckman Tavern while waiting for the parade to start.
Ars. Litchfield will send out invitations tAD the luncheon, to be held at noon at
the Battle Green inn, to the Parade at 200 and the Reception at 4:00. Er. Gaughan
and Mr. Cobb will take care of refreshments at the reception, and it has been
aarangad that Ruth Moyle will do the feed.
The Luncheon favors, seating protocol and place cards were discussed, as well as
other details pertaining to the luncheon.
The Selectmen and their wives should be hosts and hostesses, and specific respon-
sibilities yinbe designated later on.
A room will be rented off the Heritage Room at the Battle Green Inn for a Ladies

The Selectmen have appointed the subcommittee, which will come to the January 25
meeting of this Committee.

Ars. Litchfield will send letters to the Selectmen in the Middlesex Towns to invite
them to participate in our parade.
