,Ter la: 1982 Patriot' s Day Morning Parade
Karen Gaughan and Dawn Brenchick chaired the meeting of the
orning Parade Sub-Committee to discuss the organization of the 1932
Youth Parade.
The First Division will be comrri..sed of the folowing units:
Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Hayden Drummers and Twirlers, Bluebirds and
Campfire whereas the Second Division will be comprised of the Com-
bined Junior High School Band, Rainbow Girls, Battle Green Charter
De"clay, Pioneer Girls, Christian Brigade, Brownies, Girl Scouts
Solomon Schechter Day School and Lexington-Bedford Youth Hockey. The
Sub-Committee voted to change the positions of the Brownies and Girl
Scouts and of Hayden Drummers and Twirlers due to the fact of 1982
ceing Hayden' s Mrs. Gilbert' s 25th year in the Patriot' s Day Parade.
In future years, the two units previously mentioned would be rotated.
from the First Division to the Second Division and vice-versa due to
the fact they are musical units and they are needed in between the
non-"-_.s_oa units for a marching beat. The Staff Division will re-
main se,ale as in past years.
It was discussed that a Flag Detail Honor Guard being made up
of a representative from each of the following: Sea Scout, ;xr lorer
Scout, Boy Scout, Girl Scout and Campfire would march with the flag,
ana would be joined on the Green by one representative of the Veter-
ans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Lexington Minutemen for the
flag raising. This will be brought before the Town Celebratiorc
Co Y __ttee for approval. I r alyproved, Dawn Brenchick will arrroach
organization mentioned for a representative
