HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-04-01-TCC-min.pdf Town Celebrations Committee 4/1/82 Present - Chrm Fitzgerald, Vice Chrm Flynn, Karen Gaughan, Dawn Brenchick, Bob Jackson, Paul Jenkins, Jean Coates, Fran Mallett Guests - Chief of Staff Charles Cullen Kathy Gaughan Tom Raboin, Youth Committee George Brown, Amateur Radio Group Business - Chrm Fitzgerald instructed Dawn Brenchick to get a firm cost on Marine Band If Lexington has to pay more than 50% of cost, we are not interested Ray Flynn made arrangements with WHDH, WXKS, and WEEI for radio announcements in A M if weather is bad P M Parade - Charlie Cullen has selected as his aides - Leonard Jellis Arthur Berrell Richard Stone Banner Bearers - 2 buses will be at Muzzey at 12 30 to transport banner bearers - aides and Cathy Marshall to staging area 80 Banner Bearers are available - 8 Hockey Players, 12 Girl Scouts, and 60 Cub Scouts The 4th Division Marshall will aid in getting banner bearers into cars at parade end Banner bearer practice on April 11 at 1 P M Mr Miller - The Nucleur Group will have same type of sign as last year If not suitable - committee reserves right to not allow their case AM Parade - TCC ok'd lineup at Muzzey for start of parade Assignments Paul Jenkins - to oversee Minute Men and Honor Guard Fran Mallett - Dignitaries and White Tricorne Hat Karen Gaughan - In charge of 1st Division aided by Jean Coates and Marion Snow Bob Jackson - 2nd Division aided by Kathy Gaughan Ray Flynn - Arrange for flag Karen and Dawn will supervise and co-ordinate the entire parade 1st Division - 4 aides 2nd Division - 3 aides T C C 4/1/82 Amateur Radio - George Brown from amateur radio - for P M parade 1 unit at Adams School- report to Dawn, Ray, Kathy - 1 unit at 2A and Mass Ave in Dr Mooney's parking lot 1 at Muzzey Jr High - Slocum & Mass 1 at Waltham St & Mass Ave 1 " at Reviewing stand 1 " at End of parade 1 at Elks Hall For Road Race - 10 A M 1 unit at Monument 1 at Marrett Rd and Mass Ave 1 at Waltham and Marrett Rd 1 " at Five Forks Shell 1 " at Hayden Youth Awards - Tom Roboin, Youth Committee brought in names or receipients Bob Sacco will make presentation P M Parade - Reading Police Dept are sending 10 men and Winchester Police Dept are sending 10-12 men to participate in parade Meeting adjourned at 10 30 P M Respectfully submitted, Frances P Mallett Recording Secretary
