HomeMy WebLinkAbout1982-11-18-TCC-min.pdf Town Celebrations Committee November 18, 1982 Present Chairman Fitzgerald, Vice Chairman Flynn, Dawn Dziokonski , Jean Coates, Marion Snow, Bob Jackson, Karen Gaughan, Fran Mallett Business Review of November 11th Parade 1 Assembly area needs additional supervision Congratulations to Paul Jenkins who did a masterful job of picking up loose ends 2 Suggestion to be made to newspaper about pictures i e they take more pictures of dignitaries and participants and fewer of general audience 3 Bring Youth Groups further forward at the monument so they can see and hear ceremony 4 Have committee members be assigned specific duties in helping to get people lined up for Parade. 5 Have staff and V I P be informed at Staging area where they are to be placed on the Green 6 Cary Hall area should be posted so the area will be kept clear for review 7 Ray Flynn to check with Paul Mazerall on placing of speakers stand and height of speaker on P A System Letters Chairman Fitzgerald requested letters be written to the following participants Colonel Roscoe, USA F Hanscom, VFW , Hayden, H S Band, Watertown Marine League, Honor guard, Girl Scouts, Campfire Girls , Hockey Club, Chief of Police, Minuteman Vocational School , Clergy, Board of Selectmen, Paul Mazerall , Lexington Minute Men by Dawn Dzionkonski , Karen Gaughan , Marion Snow, Jean Coates, Ray Flynn, Fran Mallett Theme Additional suggestions "Time Was" Please bring in additional suggestions next week Patriots Day 1983 Bill Fitzgerald has already been asked if horses will be allowed in A M Parade Committee must decide our policy at once Meetings December 2 December 16 then adjourn until January 6, 1983 Meeting was adjourned at 10 00 P M Respectfully submitted, Frances P Mallett Recording Secretary
