HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-02-02-TCC-min.pdf TOWN CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE February 2, 1984 Present Chairman Fitzgerald, Pat Flynn, Paul Jenkins, Marion Snow Karen Gaughan, Jean Coates, Fran Mallett Patriots Day - April 16, 1984 P M Parade - 45 units have been contacted We have received inquiries from 1st Michigan Colonials, Waterbury, Timberlane High School - Portsmouth H S - North Weymouth High School Ray Flynn is following up on Bands Bob Jackson is contacting Military - ROTC Pat Flynn to contact Harvard, MIT, BC, BU and Northeastern ROTC A M Parade For the ceremonies on the Green Board of Selectmen, White Hats, Other V I.P's to the left- on Right - Mike Side - Karen with T C C members and young people Speaker of the day - including Selectmen, Clergy and any other speaker should be on the Mike Side Duty assignments on the Green To aid on the Green- Marion, Jean, Karen, Bill Flag detail - Bob Jackson, Pat Flynn Marion to handle invited guests including Rabbi Meirowitz, Board of Selectmen, Town Manager, School Committee, Jim Crain, Selectmen Politi Electric Service - Ray and Paul Youth Groups - Karen, Marion, Jean Arm Bands - Paul and Fran Girl Scouts - Karen, Jean,Fran Boy Scouts - Pat and Paul Church Bells - Paul and Pat Duties at Munroe Cemetery - Karen, Jean and Bob will assist White Tricorne Hats, Minute-Men, Brownies to enter Parade. Pat Flynn will check out convertibles - we need two Fran to handle wreaths Ray, Bob Karen, Marion, Paul, Jean will prepare roster The Lions Road Race will begin at 10 00 A M. Registration will start at 8 30 at L H.S The Lions have presented the Lexington Fire Department Colorguard with 4 new flags Karen, Paul will be in charge of floats May 17th Concert by Air Force Academy Orchestra Hanscom will send a list of V I.P's who will attend T C C will send invitations to V I P's - Board of Selectmen, Town Manager, etc Town Celebrations Committee - February 2, 1984 Agenda for New Week - 2/10/84 T.C.0 to select Chief Marshall and Chief of Staff We select 2 aides for each and they both select 1 aide Division Marshall and aides selected by T C.C.
