HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-01-12-TCC-min.pdf TOWN CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE January 12, 1984 Present Chairman Fitzgerald , Vice Chairman Flynn, Karen Gaughan, Marion Snow, Pat Flynn, Jean Coates , Fran Mallett Business Motion made and seconded and so moved to select for the 1984 Theme for Patriots' Day "Preserve Your Heritage" Lexington Minute Men reouested meeting with T C C on January 19, 1984 to discuss the following subjects To have re-enactment at 6 00 A M , to invite 10th Regiment of Foot, requesting T C C to invite 10th Regiment of Foot to put on demonstration on the Green , to change timing of combined Minute Men and D A R ceremonies to directly after the ceremonies on the Green T C C suggestions - A M parade - Spirit of 1776 lead parade, followed by Minute Men, Chief Marshall , Chief of Staff, Lexington High School Band and balance of parade We have 4 Minute Men in full uniform as the flag raising detail John Vann, Commander of Mass Minute Man Council , expects 200 British Militia at the encampment and to participate in the re- enactment A M Parade to start at Mass Ave and Pleasant Street C hairman Fitzgerald announced the Air Force Academy Concert Band will perform at Cary Hall on May 17th This is free to the public. They will have a 11 hour to 2 hour performance Bill assigned some of the jobs for T C C members for Patriots Day Meeting adjourned at 10 00 P M Frances P Mallett Recording Secretary
