HomeMy WebLinkAbout1985-10-24-TCC-min.pdf Town Celebrations Committee October 24, 1985 Present Chrm Fitzgerald, Vice Chrm Flynn, Bob Jackson, Jean Coates, Pat Flynn, Karen Gaughan, Marion Snow, Fran Mallett Guests Jerry Garrity, Walter Cunha, Charles Price, Veterans of Foreign Wars Lexington Minute Men Capt Dick Crowley, Jim Mitchell , Watertown Marine Corp League Veterans Day Chief Marshall - Walter Cunha Aides - Warren Hawkins, Charles Sullivan, Angus McIver, Tony Dzionskonski Parade will assemble at 9 30 at School Administration Building and step off at 10 00 A M Parade will go right at Monument and stop at Soldiers Monument at Buckman Tavern It will form 2 lines so we can bring children up to observe the wreath laying Jim Mitchell and Dick Crowley with the Marine Corp League Color Guard and firing detail and a girl scout escorted by Neil Cronin will lay the wreath on the memorial A girl scout will also lay a wreath at the flag pole The flag raising will be a joint detail - V F W Veterans - Minute Men Marine Corp league will work out details On the Green - Marion Fitzpatrick will read "In Flanders Field" Speaker of the Day - Capt Donna Sheehan - Special Forces - Fort Devens The High School Band will play to the Colors followed by Star Spangled Banner and close with "God Bless America" Roster will be completed at next meeting - ll/4/85 Parade will leave Green and proceed to Cary Hall for review by Staff and Guests Patriots Day T C C voted to invite Clydesdale horses for Patriots Day Meeting adjourned at 9 45 P M Frances P Mallett Recording Secretary
