William Fitzgerald, Raymond Flynn, Robert Jackson, Karen Gaughan, Paul Jenkins, Jean Coates. Guests: Gresh Lattimore, Georgia Smith, Bea Lewis The meeting of the Town Celebrations Committee was called to order by Chairman Bill Fitzgerald. Minutes of the meeting of Thursday, February 27th, 1986, were accepted as presented. UPDATES & REPORTS: A.M. Parade - Carla Agostino, LHS Senior Class President, will serve as Chief Marshal of the A M. Parade. The Vice President of the Senior Class is to be Chief of Staff. Both students have been invited to the TCC meeting, Thursday, 3/20/86. P.M. Parade. A representative of the Shriners and the Exalted Ruler of the Elks met with Bill Fitzgerald. An estimated 400-450 Shriners are expected to march As in the past, the Elks will provide dressing rooms, lunch and post-parade refreshments to the Shriners The Chief Potentate of the Shriners is to make a decision to determine need for another reviewing stand, if he and his staff plan to review the Parade -at the Battlegreen. Representatives of the Lexington Minutemen will be at the meeting on 3/20/86 Handicapped Parking will be in front of the Post Office, on both sides of Mass. Avenue, from Grant St to Wallis Ct The Chief of Police, or his representative(s) , will issue permits. Invitations have been mailed to most of the dignitaries. Neil Cronin is the liaison between the Lexington Chamber of Commerce and this Committee, and will again head the judging of floats. Prizes will be awarded by the C of C. Bands/Units. Ray Flynn updated the information sheet on bands and units, adding (1) Tony Barrie Band-Saugus (20-30 piece professional group) , (2) Blue Knights (motorcycles) , Southern Mass District, (3) Cadette Squadron/Brockton-pipe band, (4) Sharpies & Cossacks (Maine) . He has also compiled a telephone listing for radio stations and names of contacts Ray is awaiting permission from Supt of Schools Pierson to recruit banner bearers at the schools. Bob Jackson reported that the 94th U.S Army Reserve Unit (Hospital) from HAFB and the Heritage Platoon from Ft. Devens will participate.
