HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-05-01-TCC-min.pdf Lexington Town Celebrations Committee May 1 , 1986 Present Chairman Fitzgerald, Vice Chairman Flynn, Jean Coates , Pat Flynn, Marion Snow, Paul Jenkins , Karen Gaughan, Fran Mallett Guests Chief Marshall Gresh Lattimore Business President Ryan of the Lions Club explained how the selection for the White Hat was made by all the organizations in Town - including clergy, Rotary Club etc T C C is very pleased with Youth Parade We thought it had gone very well and congratulate the young people Suggestions on the P M Parade Gresh Lattimore - Chief Marshall - suggested we need additional aides in all divisions - at least 4 in each Marion Snow suggested if a Banner Bearer wishes to carry a certain banner that we go along with their wishes Bill Fitzgerald suggested we try to get sponsors to supply own banner bearers if possible Chairman Fitzgerald assigned thank-you notes to be written by T C C to various organizations Memorial Day - Monday May 26th Lexington Fire Department to provide Marshall , Chief of Staff and aides Parade will meet at School Administration Building at 9 A M to go to Westview Cemetery with Minute-Men and the Clergy Return to School Administration Building to form with rest of parade and at 10 A M step off for Munroe Cemetery, Cary Hall , Colonial Cemetery and the Green Assignments for T C C members - Ray Flynn will contact Father McCabe for the ceremonies on the Green Karen will contact Girl Scouts Paul Jenkins will contact Cub Scouts Pat Flynn will contact Lexington Minute-Men Charlie Price Bob Jackson - ROTC from Minuteman Tech and Hanscom for Speaker of the Day Fran contact Hayden - Dick Kirk Memorial Day - Monday May 26th (Continued) Bob Jackson - Youth teams L H S Senior Class - Gettysburg !Address and General Logan's Orders of the Day Marion will contact Selectmen and we will read Governor's Proclamation We will plan to move into Cary Hall in case of rain Meeting adjourned at 9 45 Frances P Mallett Recording Secretary
