HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-01-29-TCC-min.pdf TOWN CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE January 29, 1987 Present Chrm Fitzgerald, Pat Flynn, Bob Jackson, Jean Coates, Karen Gaughan, Fran Mallett Business The Minute Men would like to have battle at 7 00 A M, The committee decided we must continue with 6 00 A M as before The Minute Men will be in on 2/5/87 to meet with us A M Parade President of Senior Class Ammar Bazzaz will be Chief Marshall of Youth Parade Chrm Fitzgerald will meet with Concord Celebrations Committee on Sunday Their Parade will be on 4/20/87 Youth Commission requested a P A system with amplifier for their float They requested permission to hand out flyers on drugs from the float, also to hand out balloons Jean Coates was congratulated by the Town Report Committee on her report on the Town Celebrations Committee The Elks have voted money to bring Shriners here for Patriots Day It will be finalized by the end of February, Norwich University will be here T C C has invited General Todd to be our guest on Sunday night so he can see Re-enactment and Youth Parade Chrm Fitzgerald checked with Chief Bergeron - Fire Dept Color Guard will serve The B U Concert Band will play at Depot Square rather than on the Green Bob Jackson has had no communications from Hanscom Tony is checking on them Pat Flynn has confirmation 1/23/87 on 18th Army Band for Patriots Day Emerson Hospital would like to put a float in parade Pat Flynn suggested we call Bedford Veterans Hospital Ancient and Honorable has accepted for Patriots Day Meeting adjourned at 9 30 Frances P Mallett Recording Secretary Town Celebrations Committee
