HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-02-12-TCC-min.pdf TOWN CELEBRATIONS COMMITTEE February 12, 1987 Present Chairman Fitzgerald, Vice Chrm Flynn , Jean Coates, Marion Snow, Bob Jackson and Fran Mallett Business Bill discussed with Chief Furdon and Capt Kilmartin about starting the A M Parade at Heritage Museum There were concerned about the safety - coming out onto Marrett Road and crossing the avenue Paul Mazerall will arrange for the B U Band at Depot Square White Tricorne Hat will supply their own car We will need 2 cars for the vets Marion Snow has spirit underway and will prepare the"Program of the Day" Paul Jenkins will contact Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts etc for banner bearers We will contact the Superintendent of Schools to get permission to go to schools for Banner Bearers Bill contacted Radio Club They will be in Progress Report Ray - all as of last week plus Boston Crusaders Norwich Youth Committee - They are going to hand out balloons and pamphlets Marion will check on what type music they will play Special forces are not available R 0 T C will be here Bill Fitzgerald received a letter from Senator Kerry regarding the availability of the Navy Band Assignments Marion Snow will take care of Selectmen Jean Coates , Karen Gaughan will take care of V I P s Meeting adjourned at 9 15 Frances P Mallett Recording Secretary Town Celebrations Committee
